- Scope & content
- The outline is one long thin, rounded metal bar, which curves at one end like a bottle-neck and runs parellel to itself on each side. In the middle are 2 other rounded metal bars, shaped together in a wave-like formation, which are fit in flush with the outside piece of metal. The 2 inside bars and the metal outline are screwed together at the opposite end from the bottle-neck. The 2 centre bars swivel outwards. An oval link is attached to the end that bottle-necks, and slips over the 2 centre bars to keep them in place. Narrative: The hair curler was in a handbag taken along while the donor was escaping from Lithuania to Russia. The donor sold the handbag for bread and kept the hair curler as a souvenir.
