- 175 pages, bound with paper and string. Cover is a discoloured grey, with the title printed inside a black border. Interior pages are beige; first few pages are done in glossy paper and contain pictures. Narrative: This is memoir reflects the author’s experiences in German labour and concentration camps. It was originally published in Yiddish in 1949 in Montreal by a committee of supporters composed of many Latvian Jews who provided financial assistance. The memoir was edited by M.M. Shafir, a teacher in the Jewish People's Schools and the Jewish Peretz Schools. He transliterated the memoir written in Yiddish but using the Roman alphabet into the standard Yiddish version using the Hebrew alphabet. The author mentions many names of individuals met in ghettoes and camps in a lengthy list which may help in identifying survivors and victims.
