"The Board of Directors and Observers and the Faculties of The Jewish Theological Seminary of America gratefully acknowledge the exemplary devotion of Judaism of Women's Auxiliary of Shaar Hashomayim, Westmount, Montreal, Canada, in the fulfillment of its pledge to the Torah Fund of the National Women's League on behalf of the Seminary in the year 5714 (1953-1954) and confer on it this Award of Honour portraying the late Dr. Louis Ginzberg, Professor of Talmud, and late Dr. Alexander Marx, Director of Libraries, and Jacob H. Schiff, Professor of History at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, whose contributions to Jewish learning have been an inspiration to scholars of all faiths the world over, enhancing their respect and reverence of Torah."
