Scope & content: Millie Lande was chairman of the Board of Trustees at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim and eventually became president. She remained extremely active in the Congregation and her many achievements were recognized by the Canadian government in bestowing upon her the honour of membership in the Order of Canada.
