Scope & content
Three transcripts for speeches likely delivered by Andrew Telegdi during his appointment as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. The first transcript titled, *Strengthening the value of Canadian Citizenship: A new Citizenship of Canada Act* was prepared for Telegdi and presented to Lucienne Robillard, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. The second transcript titled, *Launching the “Scattering of Seeds” III* was presented by Telegdi at the Royal Ontario Museum during the launch of Scattering of Seeds, the third in a series of documentaries about immigration in Canada. The third transcript titled, *Canada: A Land Where Many Cedars Grow* was written in support of the *Clarity Act*. Telegdi intended to deliver the speech in the House of Commons but ultimately did not due to scheduling conflicts. Also includes a letter sent to Telegdi from Stéphane Dion, expressing gratitude for Telegdi’s speech in support of the *Clarity Act*.
