- Scope & content
- Letter: regarding recent O.C. cancelling 5 townships in Abitibi Hunting Reserve and stating that the Indians affected have always lived in Quebec at a site which is now almost closed in by settlers, and their preserve is also occupied by settlers. Suggesting that Indian Reserve be set aside for these Abitibi Indians on the Harricanaw River, as "their original grounds are more or less all affected by mining and settlement ...". Also commenting on future colonization measures to be taken on the preserve.
