The website of Queen's University Archives is down (for about 7 hours)
Its images and links won't load until it's back. Panarchive shows each image straight from the archive's own website, so when that site is down the picture can't be shown here. Nothing is lost: everything returns once the archive is back up, and we check every few minutes.

- Letter: replying to letter of 11 March and informing that Dept. has decided to remit furs to [name of Golden Lake Band member] of Golden Lake, except for beaver skin as it is a protected animal in Quebec. Further writing that if the pelt was taken ignoring the new regulations passed last year, he will have no objection to selling them there (in Quebec), collecting the royalty and sending the sale price to DIA. Asking for comments. Postscript reads: 'The fact that [name of Golden Lake Band member] has taken beaver ignoring new regulations should be corroborated by writing by a local missionary or some other trustworthy person."
