- Scope & content
- Letter: re first minute of meeting of Golden Lake Band on Nov. 9 requesting trapping rights. States that the white trappers who have money to buy permits appear to make money. States that as the Indians cannot pay their way, they have to steal about the bush which hampers their work trapping. States that when they have to take a chance with the Warden they take another, and go into Algonquin Park. Advises that the Indians would be less expense to the country and more contented if given hunting and trapping privileges. Attaches letters from the Chief and Councillor.
