The website of Queen's University Archives is down (for about 5 hours)

Its images and links won't load until it's back. Panarchive shows each image straight from the archive's own website, so when that site is down the picture can't be shown here. Nothing is lost: everything returns once the archive is back up, and we check every few minutes.

Scope & content
Letter: reporting on meeting with D. McDonald, Game and Fisheries Ontario. States that the Indians are in danger of losing exclusive hunting privileges of beaver and otter due to the decline of these animals. Advises that this is caused by white trappers killing beaver illegally. States that he recommended exclusive hunting rights for the Indians, in the part of the Province north of the Transcontinental Railway but this is difficult because there have been a number of sub-divisions along the railway and settlers are taking up locations. Reports that he was successful in getting the Province to consider setting apart for Indians the hunting privileges of all fur bearing animals in the entire district of Patricia.
