The website of Queen's University Archives is down (for about 3 hours)
Its images and links won't load until it's back. Panarchive shows each image straight from the archive's own website, so when that site is down the picture can't be shown here. Nothing is lost: everything returns once the archive is back up, and we check every few minutes.

- Scope & content
- Letter: commission took evidence at Georgina Island, Christian Island. Rama. Rice Lake, Mud Lake, Lake Scugog, and Alderville Reserves. Commission believes that Indians' claim is justified. Notes that Mississaugas also claim seven townships lying to south of Lake Simcoe; gives estimate of value of these lands alone at $30 million (area is 355,000). Also discovered that lands between Bay of Quinte and Toronto (Gunshot Treaty lands) are not described in any tteaty. Propose that all of these lands be included in treaty, and concludes that $700,000 would be fair and equitable compensation.
