The website of Queen's University Archives is down (for about 4 hours)
Its images and links won't load until it's back. Panarchive shows each image straight from the archive's own website, so when that site is down the picture can't be shown here. Nothing is lost: everything returns once the archive is back up, and we check every few minutes.

- Memorandum: regarding allocation of the hunting grounds north of the St. Lawrence. Reports on case during the years 1829-1831 when the Indians of Three Rivers [i.e. Trois Rivieres], St Francis and Lorette asked to be permitted to hWlt on these lands which the Algonquins of Lake of Two Mountains claimed belonged to them. Advises that Lord Aylmer replied to the Indians of Lorette that the Provincial Legislature were not competent to interfere in determining the limit of the hunting groWlds and that he would refer to the Dominion Government any petition they cared to submit. Stewart advises that no further action appears to have been taken in the matter.
