- Scope & content
- Report: re case of Paul DeI a Ronde and other Mississauga Indians ftled at Rama on Dec. 28, 1869. States that no land north of the 45th degree of latitude has ever been ceded by the Indians and the claim embraces much unsurveyed land between the Ottawa River and Lake Huron. Advises that his individual interest in the land could not be considered apart from the claim of the tribe of Mississaugas to which he belongs. Suggests that the attention of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario should be called to the correspondence with his predecessor, as well as the Commissioner of Crown Lands so as to settle the Indian claim as soon as possible.
