Scope & content
Petition: advising that they have seen the exploitation of their hunting grounds which is the only small resource they have to overcome their pressing need. Complain that Mississaugas were compensated and they were not. States that as a result of the settlement of whites on their land, hunting has become insufficient to meet their needs and now they must become farmers. Request help to that end. Want to senle at Lake of Two Mountains and want certain islands on the Ottawa. Want a representative of the government to live among them.
