- Return: lists 57 Indians at this settlement, by Chief, warrior, women; lists boys and girls separately by age group. Note dated April24, 1848 by T. G. Anderson.Superintendent Indian Affairs states that it is possible that some of them are Mississaugas from Alnwick. but he is not aware that such is the case. Three families representing 14 people were scratched off the list as Mississauguas, leaving 43 Algonquins.
