- Letter: submitting general report on the Indians as requested in his letter of the 13th. Regarding the Indians of the Lake of Two Mountains, Napier advises that the Iroquois, Algonquin and Nipissing Indians of that place do not possess any landed property from which income is derived. States they are rarely seen in the village except for the weeks previous to the annual distribution of presents.
