- Scope & content
- Occupying the whole block between Bleury, Ste-Catherine, St-Alexandre and St-Edward streets, the Belgo Building was constructed in 1913 to house the enormous Scroggie Departmental Store. In the 1930s it was filled to the brim with garment manufacturers and held a bowling alley on the first floor. Today it is home to dozens of art galleries and studios. Photo by IMJM, 2013.
