Scope & content

The event was organized at the initiative of the Yiddish Worker's Committee in a joint effort with Jewish labor committee, Hillel Student Society, Jewish People's School, JPL, Labor Zionist Alliance, National Committee for Yiddish, Student Society for the Study of Religion, Workmen's Circle Civic Committee, and the YMYWHA. Mordche Chosid, Yacov Zipper and Melech Ravitch are also present. One address is distributed in writing, by French-Canadian author Fernand Oulette. It took place in the JPL auditorium.   In the JPL archives, there are documents, including a letter sent out by Arthur Lermer to rally support for the event.
