- Scope & content
- Composite portrait, Baron Byng High School graduates, 1926. This was one of the first graduating classes of the school, which had opened in 1922. All of the students shown were Jewish, a consequence of the Protestant School Board's segregation of the Jewish student population into a number of specific high schools. None of the teachers and staff were Jewish though, due to the lack of rights of Jews in the school system. A. M. Klein, who would become a famous poet, writer, journalist and lawyer, can be found in the 3rd row, 2nd to the left. Courtesy of the CJCCCNA.
