Dress uniforms (158 ft): a private and a sergeant are shown removing their battle dresses and putting on the new uniform. An officer hands them their passes outside the quartermaster store and the two soldiers go on leave. Sequence on the sergeant and the private walking with a girl on Saint Catherine Street in Montreal, looking at store windows, getting photo taken by a street photographer as a streetcar moves by in the foreground. Cut to dinner in a restaurant and to dancing. Français : Tenues de sortie (158 pieds): on voit un simple soldat et un sergent en train d'enlever leurs tenues de combat pour enfiler le nouvel uniforme. Un officier leur remet leurs laissez-passer à l'extérieur du magasin de l'officier chargé des vivres et des fournitures. Les deux soldats partent en permission. Séquence du sergent et du soldat se promenant avec une fille sur la rue Sainte-Catherine à Montréal, regardant les vitrines, se faisant photographier par un photographe de rue tandis qu'un tramway passe au premier plan. Enchaînement sur le souper dans un restaurant et la danse.
