Scope & content
File consists of 53 photographs showing construction activities associated with an extension of Eglinton Avenue East across the West Don River, and with widening of the street east to Kingston Road. Some of the photographs document shoring up of various house in the #1191-1197 range of an unidentified street, presumably in the area of Eglinton Avenue East. These photographs include some of a construction site accident. Other photographs show the newly opened Golden Mile and Eglinton Square shopping centres at Victoria Park Avenue. Also documented are the intersections with O'Connor Drive, showing a White Rose service station, and Kingston Road, showing a stone wall at the corner.
